Here's what previous participant had to say about our Couch 2 5k programme...

The C25k program was a little tough at times as I have never been a runner. However it was also lots of fun. A few weeks after finishing I completed my first 10k and have already signed up for two more. Without doing the C25k program I would never have signed up for a 10k. I would advise anyone who signs up to stick at it as it's so worthwhile and you feel great after each run. 

I have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the couch to 5k programme at Wallace Park, Lisburn. The coaches were friendly, helpful and offer an amazing service to the general public. The warm up and wind down exercises also meant that I never had any aches or pains following any training! I would definitely recommend to all my family and friends.

I was so nervous going the first night but everyone made me so welcome. It has been a really great experience. I've made friends and feel so much fitter. I still can't run the whole 5k but I can do so much more than before. And I'm going to keep at it. A fantastic programme and wonderful volunteers. 

I recently moved to Lisburn and joined the couch to 5k programme as a way to meet people in the area and to keep fit, coming into the summer. The programme at Wallace Park is great, the coaches offer great support during the 8 weeks and after! I've joined Jog Lisburn Running Club now the programme has finished and I couldn't recommend it enough! Great bunch of people and a beautiful park to run in (the hills get easier!). 

Excellent programme ran by Jog Lisburn. Great encouragement and they let you develop at your own pace and didn't make you feel like you couldn't do it. Definitely will continue running- something I never thought I would say! 

I feel the couch to 5k is a fantastic programme. Most people feel they can't run but when they do the programme they realise they can. It's changed my life. I have lost weight, feel more confident and now am going to take up swimming too. I have just ran in my first 10k race. I can do it even though I am in my late 50s. Running is a sport for all ages. The guys who take the course are fantastic. You can ask them anything. Thank you activeni you have changed my life for the better 

Really positive experience with members of Jog Lisburn Running Club. I joined Couch to 5k with my 11yr old son. We can now both run 5k and really see benefits in the form of improved fitness and noticeable weight loss. Thank you to all involved.
